Ghana’s Former President, John Dramami Mahama who is currently a presidential aspirant on the ticket of Ghana’s main Opposition Party, the NDC has indicated that the only reason he wants to be president again is to come and complete the massive infrastructural developments he started in his first term as a president and also to bring total development into the West African nation.
The former president pointed out that the Nana Akufo-Addo led- government, compared to any other government, is an obstacle to the country’s development.
The former president and a presidential aspirant made these statements when addressing the chiefs and the people of the Asutifi North Constituency at the district capital, Hwidiem, as part of a two-day tour in the Ahafo Region to congratulate the traditional leaders and people for voting massively for its creation.
The former President explained that per the 1992 Constitution of Ghana, a new administration must ensure to continue and complete all projects in all sectors for the good people of Ghana before commencing new ones, yet His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and his team have totally ignored the law.
According to him, this singular action by the new NPP administration is affecting the progressive path in which he set the country on before leaving office.
He charged the people of the region to support his bit to be president of Ghana again to bring the needed development in the country.
