As part of Ghana’s determination to build industrial plants in all her 254 districts, today 23 July 2019, the President of Ghana, Nana Akufo-Addo Commissioned a Ceramics Factory in Sharma in the Western Region.
This is the Second Ceramics factory commissioned under Ghana’s One District, One Factory (1D1F) this year which comes after Kpone Ceramics factory.
The production capacities of the two industrial plants have been estimated to be high enough to supply the Ceramics demand on the Ghanaian market and also extend the supply to other markets in the sub-region.
The new factory commissioned will also provide over 5000 direct jobs to the youth and the masses of the country.
It is expected that many factories under the 1D1F will start to be in operational this year to help create jobs for the masses and also reduce the country’s reliance on foreign products.
